Hal H. Green is a marketing executive and entrepreneur in the energy industry with more than 35 years of experience in starting and managing technology companies. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Houston. He has invested his career at the intersection of marketing and technology, with a focus on business strategy, marketing, and effective selling practices. Mr. Green has a diverse portfolio of experience in marketing technology to the hydrocarbon supply chain – from upstream exploration through downstream refining & petrochemical. Throughout his career, Mr. Green has been a proven thought-leader and entrepreneur, while supporting several tech start-ups.
He started his career as a process engineer in the semiconductor manufacturing industry in Dallas, Texas and later launched an engineering consulting and systems integration business. Following the sale of that business in the late 80’s, he joined Setpoint in Houston, Texas where he eventually led that company’s Manufacturing Systems business. Aspen Technology acquired Setpoint in January 1996 and Mr. Green continued as Director of Business Development for the Information Management and Polymer Business Units.
In 2004, Mr. Green founded Advertas, a full-service marketing and public relations firm serving clients in energy and technology.
Laura A. Cuttill is a strategic and operational leader with a demonstrated ability to fuse business, financial, and technology interests into streamlined, profitable operations. Armed with a degree in marketing from Texas A&M University, Ms. Cuttill began her career in the Schlumberger Information Solutions department, working on identity management roll-out projects for Chevron and ExxonMobil.
In 2004 she joined Hal Green as a co-founder of Advertas, adding her organizational, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills to the team. In 2010 she left Advertas to co-found the identity management software company, 2FA, Inc. As COO / CMO for 2FA, she helped lead the company from concept to a 75% market share in target verticals for two factor authentication in four short years. After selling the business to Identity Automation in 2016, she returned to Advertas, continuing to support clients in the energy and process industries. She serves her clients with a unique vision of using cutting-edge software and marketing practices as a foundation to drive business growth.
Marketing Financial Analyst
Phillip M. Green is a senior financial consultant with more than nine years in marketing, strategy, and financial consulting for the energy industry. In 2014, Mr. Green transitioned from his marketing role to a financial consulting role with Advertas, whereby he advises clients on the financial positioning and strategy of their offerings. He has developed financial sales tools and analyzed both supply side and demand side profitability for clients. His project work includes product pricing models and project valuation analysis. He holds an MS in Finance and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Houston, and BBA in Economics from Texas State University.
He started his career as a marketing specialist for Advertas, specializing in digital strategy, writing copy, and graphic layout. He has written content for white papers, websites, and sales guides for companies such as Yokogawa, Invensys, and Peloton.
Project CoordinatorChloe K. Gold graduated from the Rawls the College of Business at Texas Tech University with a B.S. in marketing and a concentration in sales.
At the beginning of 2017, she became the Project Coordinator for Advertas. She supports projects through comprehensive research, detailed reporting, and logistics management. She demonstrates proficiency in maintaining and growing direct marketing databases. Her work updating contact information, tracking engagement behavior and assigning persona profile details ensures the database remains current and easily segmented for personalized messages. Her experience with digital marketing through social media has enriched each client’s online presence. She uses various social media platforms to encourage audience engagement, expand brand awareness and boost inbound traffic. In Advertas’ SEO/SEM initiatives, she serves clients by compiling reports to give management a complete picture of website traffic, sources, and rankings. Ms. Gold has been an integral part of the planning and execution of major tradeshow appearances, content marketing campaigns, and other digital promotions.
Leah joined Advertas in May 2017 after graduating from the University of Houston with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
Mrs. Mann is a specialist in digital and print marketing, software UI/UX design, and visual communication. Her array of skills includes print and digital design, web design and coding, application design, and video editing. Past client work includes the Hermann Park Conservancy, The Health Museum, and The Cypress of Raleigh. Her creative direction and professional approach make it easy to navigate the design process.
SEO & SEM SpecialistAndy Inthavong is public relations and marketing communications professional with over 10 years of experience in shaping messages, directing content creation, marketing products/services and developing communication strategies. Having specialized in SEO / SEM initiatives, he is at the forefront of current and emerging techniques to achieve SEO results. As an avid adopter of new web and mobile technologies, he is passionate about applying the latest innovative tools and practices to marketing challenges, especially in the tech sector. Andy graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelors of Science degree in Communications with a focus in Public Relations.
Project AccountantSabina works with Advertas staff and clients to process all third-party expenses, such as media, conference organizations, booth equipment suppliers, and others. She has 15+ years’ experience in accounting and financial services, and 10 years of experience in providing investment management and cash management. Among her certifications and memberships, she counts QuickBooks Online certified, a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers, and a member of the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals. Sabina assists with each project, validating third-party costs and ensuring accurate accounting and billing for each campaign.
